Server log files
When you visit this website, our hosting provider automatically collects information that your browser transmits. This includes:
- The IP address of the requesting device
- Date and time of access
- Name and URL of the requested file
- Volume of data transferred
- Whether the request was successful
- Browser type, and where applicable, the operating system used
- Referrer URL (the previously visited page)
This data is processed for the purpose of providing the website
technically, ensuring its stability and security, and for statistical
analysis of technical errors. The legal basis is
Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate
interest). The data is automatically deleted after a maximum of
14 days and is not combined with other data sources.
03
Cookies
This website uses no cookies — neither functional nor tracking. No cookie banner is therefore required.
04
Analytics and tracking
This website uses no third-party analytics services (Google Analytics,
Plausible, Matomo, or similar) and no cross-site or advertising
tracking. No data is transmitted to third parties. We do keep one
first-party, aggregate metric: each download of the app is counted on
our own server — a timestamp only, no IP and no identifier — so we can
see how many people are trying Pulsaria. Legal basis:
Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate
interest in understanding adoption).
05
Fonts
This website uses only locally hosted fonts (Space Grotesk and JetBrains Mono). No fonts are loaded from external providers like Google Fonts. Loading the website therefore does not establish any connection to external font servers.
06
Email contact
If you contact us by email, your details will be stored for the
purpose of handling your enquiry and for any follow-up questions. The
processing is based on your consent
(Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR) and/or our
legitimate interest
(Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).
We will not pass on this data without your consent and we delete it as soon as it is no longer needed and no statutory retention obligations apply.
07
The Pulsaria app
This Privacy Policy applies exclusively to the website at
pulsaria-kpi.com. The Pulsaria
application stores all your KPI data as JSON files on your own device
— nothing about your metrics ever leaves your Mac.
On launch, the app checks our server for updates. Like any web request
this transmits your IP address; we use it to serve the update manifest
and, in aggregate, to count active installations. We store only a
salted, irreversible SHA-256 hash of the IP together with a last-seen
timestamp (kept up to 90 days) — never the raw IP, and no
per-user identifier or profile. Legal basis:
Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate
interest in knowing roughly how many installations are in use).
The app can send anonymised crash reports (via Sentry) to help us fix bugs. This is strictly opt-in — off unless you explicitly enable it, and even then only the error type and stack trace are sent, with file paths stripped and no KPI names or values.
If you enable iCloud synchronisation, your data is synced exclusively via your own Apple iCloud infrastructure between your own devices. No One Pixel Ahead server is involved.
08
Waitlist (pre-launch)
While Pulsaria is in its pre-launch phase, you can sign up to be notified the moment the product becomes available, using the form on the home page.
The form is processed by a small script on our own server in Germany. We collect only:
- Your email address
- The section of the page from which you signed up (e.g. "hero", "pricing")
- Date and time of signup
- Your IP address and browser user agent (for spam protection)
For further processing we use Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, 7 rue de Madrid, 75008 Paris, France) as a processor within the meaning of Art. 28 GDPR. Brevo sends the internal notification email to admin@one-pixel-ahead.com on our behalf and stores your email address in a contact list so that we can send you the launch notification later. A data processing agreement (DPA) under Art. 28 GDPR is in place with Brevo.
The legal basis is your consent
(Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR), given by
actively submitting the form. You may withdraw consent at any time —
a brief message to
contact@one-pixel-ahead.com
is sufficient.
09
Payment processing
Purchases of Pulsaria licences are processed via Polar Software, Inc., 3500 South DuPont Highway, Dover, DE 19901, USA. Polar acts as the Merchant of Record: Polar is your contracting party for the payment itself and is an independent controller for your payment and billing data. We never receive complete payment details (in particular, no card numbers) — only what we need to attach a licence to your order.
Transfer to a third country. Polar Software, Inc. is based in the United States, so your payment and billing data are transferred to the USA when you buy. The transfer is safeguarded by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses under Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR. The legal basis for the processing is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of a contract). Despite these safeguards, a level of data protection equivalent to the European one cannot be guaranteed in every case; in particular, access by US authorities cannot be entirely ruled out.
You can find Polar's privacy policy at polar.sh/legal/privacy.
10
Your rights
You have the right at any time to:
- access the data we hold about you (Art. 15 GDPR);
- have inaccurate data corrected (Art. 16 GDPR);
- have your data erased (Art. 17 GDPR);
- have processing restricted (Art. 18 GDPR);
- data portability (Art. 20 GDPR);
- object to processing (Art. 21 GDPR);
- withdraw consent you have given (Art. 7 (3) GDPR).
To exercise these rights, an informal email to contact@one-pixel-ahead.com is sufficient.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — for users in Bavaria, this is the Bayerisches Landesamt für Datenschutzaufsicht (BayLDA).

Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to ensure it continues to meet legal requirements or to reflect changes in our services. The current version on the website applies to your visit.
